My socks that I have finally finished from the beautiful hand dyed wool that BMF brought back from Scotland for me. Hand dyed with rubia tinctorium, otherwise known as madder. How appropriate!!

Thank you xx I seriously LOVE knitting socks and these are possibly the best fitting ones yet! Also enough wool left over to knit a little newborn soaker maybe?!!
Tom's thumb nail is hanging on in there. Still looks healthy and no blackness yet. We are wondering if his lighteneing reactions of sticking it back down may have prevented the worst from happening. Only time will tell.

Still haven't gotten around to knitting mine from the hand-dyed wool. The last (and only) 2 pairs of socks that I've knitted for myself got shrunken and felted in the wash (wasn't me) and I've now had to donate them to dd! I'm starting another pair, this time with hopefully non-felting sock wool!
Did you have to adjust the pattern? I'm guessing the wool knits up thicker than the usual 4ply?
Me? Adjust a pattern? No I just went for it and they are perfect!!! The wool has a kind of thick and thin alternating thing to it and so I guess that one balances out the other?!
